Red Robin - Entertainment Fee...Really?
I was surprised to get my bill the other day to have an "entertainment fee" of $1.99 added to my bill. I was quite displeased to learn that this is for the tablet that sits on your table.
We didn't even have a tablet on our table that we could use. I know $1.99 is petty in the grand scheme but Red Robin is stealing money from people without providing a service and it's wrong! Most people probably don't even realize this is on their bill. I have plenty of apps on my phone that are free to use, I don't need your tablet.
And there are plenty of other restaurants out there that won't charge me for something I didn't receive. They have lost a customer now because of that $1.99 and I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Reason of review: Entertainment Fee.
Preferred solution: GET RID OF THIS STUPID CHARGE...IT'S PETTY!!!.

Completely agree my child touched the tablet for a min before a took it away and we were charged. Iโm completely done with Red Robin not counting the bad experience with the food
I agree . Entertainment fee your not even told about is not good customer service. We will not be returning either.
Yes no more Red Robin here. $1.99 entertainment fee.
Never told about it. When I got home I called they said for the table thing where you can play games and pay bill. I handed waiter the money. There was not a box on our table.
Will not be back. That is a scam. I was not made aware of.
Now I feel cheated. Thank you.
What was this "Entertainment Fee" of $1.99!! I was never told about it or asked if I had an option!
Cheating scam, that's what it is! Now I have to go back in person and demand my "fee" back.
I could not see my full receipt when I signed off on the tablet...which I don't like to use in the first place. Red Robin will lose MANY customers over this "ripoff"!
I agree 100%. My wife and I will never return to patronize Red Robin after being charged a ridiculous $1.99 "entertainment fee" for playing trivia on this obtrusive little kiosk.
While I still tipped our server 20% (as this company's foolishness was not her fault, and the food and service were otherwise fine), the negative experience thoroughly ruined our meals. Upon my objection, Red Robin did remove the "entertainment fee."
and customers like you won't be missed. maybe you need to understand not everything is for free.
McDonald's should charge an "entertainment fee" for the privilege of watching their clown employees goof off. Especially the retard that was pretending he was shooting a machine gun with the mop that he was supposed to be using to clean the floor.
Sounds like you're just trying to start something with the employees and the managers just because you are getting charged for something. You're sounding like the reviewer.
Not everything is for free. Don't know how many times someone needs to explain that to people like you that don't understand that.
He is cleaning the floor. Does not matter how he is doing it.
Shame on U !
For speaking the truth? Maybe people like you need to understand not everything is for free.
It's not that hard to comprehend and ask is something is or isn't for free! Maybe if this person would or done that into the first place, then they would of not of had the extra cost!
And shame onto people like you thinking anybody should treat anybody like this. All you're doing is encouraging others that think this is okay.
This is not okay. Everybody needs to treat everybody with respect.
I agree. If they cannot afford the entertainment fee, they should not use the tablet.
1.99 fee entertainment.added to Bill for scrolling across on the tablet and viewing the desserts them paying on the table ? Really ??
Food was good.... Don't think I will be visiting there again
Then go somewhere else. Nobody is forcing customers like you to be there if you're going to do is complain and whine about that something isn't for free! This an establishment, not an house party!
Hopefully this person doesn't work for Red Robin. If he does...... definitely needs some PR classes...
And people need to understand not everything is for fee. Clearly this is an restaurant. You shouldn't and nobody asked you to lecture managers and employees, if they are going to deal with entitled customers when they don't understand that this is an business to make money, not give out free bees.
They are just stating the truth. He does not need PR classes.
I do agree with the fee for playing the games. I do not agree with being charged $1.99 to look at the desert menu though.
Then stay home.
