Poor Customer Service at Red Robin Chambersburg PA

New ReviewerOn 10/23/21 at 7:11 pm, we placed a car side order for a Bonsai Burger and a plain hamburger w/side salads. At 7:48 pm, it still had not been received.
I went into the restaurant to check on our order after observing from our car location 4 young ladies laughing and chatting inside at the reception desk. I asked them if my order was ready. They turned around, yelled into the kitchen through a louvered panel, "do you have an order for Linda". The kitchen said, "it's sitting there." I asked how long it had been sitting.
They shrugged their shoulders and said, "probably not long". I asked why no one was checking on completed orders. With an attitude, one said "I'm a server", one said "I'm a hostess", one didn't answer, and the last one said very disrespectfully "I'm taking phone calls too and getting car side orders". I asked her to drop her attitude.
As they turned their backs, talking about me (as if I couldn't hear and see them), a young man came out of the kitchen and whispered to them, "what's going on?. They rolled their eyes. Not only were they not doing their jobs, they let my order sit undelivered along w/another person's car side order sit. I know this because she came inside to check on her order as I was leaving.
She had already been sitting in the car side pick up location when we arrived! We went home to discover both hamburgers were not cooked through, were now barely warm, and my plain hamburger had cheese, lettuce, mayo, and onion. We have always had great service at this Red Robin, but this service was totally unacceptable.
I understand staff shortages, but there were 4 of them laughing and standing at the reception desk from the time we arrived until we departed. As I previously mentioned, we could observe them from our car.
User's recommendation: Check whether your car side orders are sitting inside.
